- What advice would you give to other women considering a career in this industry? Even though there’s not supposed to be prejudice it still exists in the industry. Stay strong but make sure you know your stuff
- What skills or attributes do you believe are essential for women to succeed in the construction/building industry?
- Strong work ethic
- Understand the building process
- Know how to do every aspect of all subcontractors
- Have good relationships
- Be willing to learn from others
- Willing to listen; admit when you’re wrong
- Be willing to put in the time necessary to please customers
- Self-confidence
- Women have to work much harder than men in this industry
