  • What are some of your favorite products to sell and why?  
    All things cabinetries. You can change the look and feel of any space; kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, office, basement by adding/blending cabinets. Cabinets are like chameleons, they can blend in or be totally different to create the look and feel each homeowner/builder is wanting to create.  And just as important, cabinets are affordable and easy to change. 
  • What is one design trend you like right now?  
    Color drenching. Covering the ceilings, walls, and any architectural details like, doors, baseboards, crown molding, or built-in features all single color. 
  • Describe some skills your job needs: 
    Detailed oriented, product knowledge, customer service, competitor knowledge, and relationship builder. 

Working in the construction industry 

  • How long have you been working in the building industry?  9 years 
  • What initially drew you to a career in the construction industry?  
    The desire to do something different that would otherwise be consider a “man’s role”. 
  • What advice would you give to other women considering a career in this industry?   
    Go for it! This industry needs more diversity, and I think now, more than ever, the industry is open to it. 
  • What skills or attributes do you believe are essential for women to succeed in the construction/building industry? 
    Be confident, be competent, be assertive, be yourself, develop respect and trust, and be open to various opportunities in the industry.
